Learning starts with a manageable next step.

A profile with your first name or nickname makes Questlume personal. You choose your grade, learning path and subjects. Instead of facing a long exercise list, you can start with a short session, explore a particular topic or focus on something you are still unsure about.

  1. Find your starting point

Choose a topic or follow a recommendation. Previous answers and reviews that are due help select your next practice session.

  2. Think for yourself and understand

Calculate, type an answer or solve an interactive exercise. Hints are allowed. For selected maths exercises, a step-by-step worked solution appears after the answer is revealed.

  3. Consolidate and move forward

Your progress view shows what you can do independently and what still needs practice. Difficult exercises return, while personal exam plans support your preparation.

More than clicking the right answer.

Questlume combines multiple-choice questions with exercises where you enter or arrange something yourself. Free-response maths and vocabulary answers, error-spotting exercises and your own explanations complement the short practice sessions. You compare open explanations with an example yourself; they do not receive an automatically assigned school grade.

  • In the angle lab, you estimate the angle yourself. The angle you have set is only shown in degrees after you check your answer.
  • Other interactive exercises cover topics including coordinates, percentage areas, circuits, food chains, timelines and comma placement.
  • For more complex maths models, calculation steps, a check and guidance on common mistakes become available after the answer is revealed.
  • A personal mistake notebook collects difficult points and your own memory aids.

School changes. Your practice options can change with it.

Mathematics, German, English, Latin, biology, physics, chemistry, history, geography, politics and economics, and computer science make up the current overall offering. The subjects and topics you see depend on your choices. Hauptschule and Realschule learning paths generally extend to grade 10, and the Gymnasium path to grade 12; regional limits are taken into account.

All 16 German federal states can be selected. Regional selection can take documented exercises, appropriate grade bands, G8/G9 school structures and the starting year for Latin into account. Sources and versions can be viewed for approved mappings. Where verification is still outstanding, this is made visible; general practice remains a separate option. The mapping is not yet complete.

Rewards that grow with you

Progress you can look forward to.

Practice becomes something you can see: exercises solved independently earn experience points, and completed sessions can provide credits for digital unlocks. The current overall collection contains 75 rewards, including profile styles, frames, symbols, titles, badges and buildings for your own base. The selection shown takes grade range and items already earned into account.

Three freely selectable looks accompany different stages of learning: Discovery, Base & Studio, and Focus & Workspace. Buildings can be upgraded, and subject achievements open up more collections. Items you have already earned are retained when you change your style or grade. Missing a day does not cost you any existing rewards.

If it suits your family, parents can also agree on personal rewards such as a film night or an outing together. These rewards are chosen and provided by the family; the app does not buy or send prizes.

Personal learning. Shared support.

Up to eight local profiles keep progress and rewards separate, so several children can use the same app. Parents set up personal rewards and shared goals, and confirm redemptions. A local parent code protects against accidental confirmations; it does not replace a secure parent login.

Prepared for Android. Even without the internet.

The current Android version includes its learning content directly in the app package. Learning profiles, answers and rewards stay locally on the device; there is no automatic cloud synchronisation. A backup file you create yourself can transfer progress to another device. An internet connection may be needed for external sources, installation and future updates.

The Android version currently contains no advertising, analytics or payment SDKs and requires no student account. Font size, reading mode, contrast, reduced motion and exercise difficulty can be adjusted.

The foundations are in place. Development continues.

Questlume is an active MimsWorks development project. Practice sessions, profiles, interactive exercises, worked solutions, rewards and local Android use have already been implemented. The Android version has been checked on a test emulator. There is no public Google Play release yet, and no release date has been set.

The exercise bank covers selected foundations and more advanced topics. It is not a complete representation of every curriculum, school year or subject. Individual regional checks and further content are being added gradually. Longer writing tasks, listening comprehension and practical experiments, among other areas, are not fully covered. Questlume supplements classroom learning and replaces neither teachers nor textbooks.

Questions about Questlume?

Who is Questlume for?

Students in grades 5 to 12 and families who would like short, personal practice sessions. The scope of the offering varies by school type, grade and topic.

Can I download the app from Google Play already?

Not yet. An Android version is in development and testing. Once there is a public release, the official store link will be added here.

Does Questlume fully cover my federal state's curriculum?

Not at present. All 16 states can be selected, but only some exercises have been checked against the relevant curricula and grades. Outstanding mappings are labelled. General practice remains available.

Are the rewards real prizes?

Digital rewards are unlocked in the app. Parents can agree on additional real-world rewards with their child themselves; MimsWorks does not provide physical prizes.

What will Questlume cost?

Prices and a possible split into Free and Pro have not yet been decided. The current development build contains no active in-app purchases or paywalls.

Can I take my progress to another device?

The current Android version can export and import a backup file. You initiate the transfer yourself; automatic synchronisation is not included.

Is the web demo the full app?

No. It contains 32 selected tasks in four subjects and an angle lab. It needs no sign-up and stores no permanent learning profiles. The Android app has substantially more content and features; demo points and answers do not transfer to the app.
